Why does my speaker make a constant "sssssss" sound

Hello, if you could help out that would be great. I tried replugging the cables, same results, I lowered the volume for my desktop and the sound was gone, but if I did that, I would not hear anything..
My speakers are the Logitech Z-5400, please don't recommend new speakers e.t.c, I just need a bit of help if there is any, Thanks!
