Why does my toshiba l755 transfer files slow

,transferring info via usb or bluetooth happens very slowly. it takes 10 minutes to transfer a 2.5 gig file from usb to my laptop
or vice versa when it use to happen in 2 minutes

maybe the file is heavily fragmented, maybe your transferring at usb 1.1 speeds because your computer thinks that either the device or port is not capable of usb 2.0.

i recommend you defrag then update your usb drivers, probably part of a large chipset package that you can find on your laptops driver website. I dont know enough about bluetooth on pcs to diagnose that.
