I thought I knew what I was doing in looking for [strike]computer[/strike] laptop specifications, here are mine:

i7-7420HQ CPU
16GB DDR3
2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M
1TB 5400 RPM.

So could the Hard drive be slowing down my system? Like bottlenecking, or what? It's sad that I still lag on Medium settings on Starcraft 2. Also, startup is so slow. Thanks for reading anyway, hope to get some answers for this!

Hi there yohanb,

Yeah, unfortunately, it can. My suggestion would be to test your drive, so you can make sure it is in a healthy state: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
If there's something wrong with it, you need to back up the data stored on it.

What is your OS?
If the drive is in a good shape, then you can go to Resource Monitor and see whether you get high usage of some of the components and what is causing it.

Let me know how this goes,

Hey I'm almost embarrassed to post why it was slow, I remembered that I wanted to leave it on all night, but didn't want to use as much power, so I had put it on power saver. Thanks for the reply anyway, haha!
