Why photoshop is lagging too much?

hi there,,
I'm professional photo designer. but i'm facing problem with my pc from along time.. the problem is lagging when i start working on my pc photoshop cs6 after few seconds its going lagg too much when resize the picture its gonna lagg giving feather on some selection photoshop gonna stuck (hang) after some time its come back normal some time it tales up to 5 to 10 minutes to be normal. I'm facing this problem when i work on small size pictures when i used large size image or .psd file to work then my problem is gonna bigger. Please tell me what can i do with it..

Well the CPU and RAM are fine for photoshop work, may be the hard drive, the Green is not really meant for speed, and you re-used an older drive which may have issues. First check for a virus and spyware though, next step would be to try a faster new hard-drive or a new Widows setup to make sure it's not a Windows issue.
