Solved! Why wont my mouse or touchpad click on buttonw? sony

Hello,I have a Sony vaio and sometimes when I go to click on a tab, neither the left button under the touchpad or the touchpad itself will actually "click" on anything. Any suggestions on how I can get them to work. This happens off and on, not all the time.

it could be a faulty wire/contact from the touchpad to motherboard.

you could also try to update the drivers for the touchpad

you could also try to see if you actually have focus of the window you're trying to click

it could also be some process interfering with touchpad operation and clicks not being registered
