Solved! Will a burnt motherboard lead to a burnt lcd ?

Hi guys,

I know for a fact, my motherboard is burnt out, but does that mean my laptop lcd screen is also burnt?
Is there a method to test the lcd screen?

My goal is to use the lcd as a second monitor for my desktop using a lvds controller board.

Unless your motherboard suffered a strong enough power surge or something like that, the display should be good.
