Here's the scenario: my laptop keyboard suddenly started inputting more characters than typed. As my Windows is PW protected and I didn't have time for workarounds I disconnected the onboard kbd data cable physically then left kbd in place. Then I posted the question. Later I bought a 6 USD ext USB kbd and booted the laptop and it's working fine now.
