Will I lose out on sound quality if I connect a soundbar to a tv using 3.5mm?

Unfortunately, my TV only has 3.5mm audio out, and no optical or HDMI ARC. So my only option would be to connect the soundbar via 3.5mm. I'm worried that i'll lose out on the sound quality.

The soundbar, for those wondering (didn't buy it yet):https://www.xcite.com/tv-video/home-theaters/sound-bars/philips-2-1-channel-soundbar-speaker-with-wireless-subwoofer-htl3140b-05.html

The sound quality won't be bad. It will be analog....but that's what everyone listened to until digital came along. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't notice a difference.

I agree that will that kind of soundbar you won't notice any difference at all. If you got one with a center speaker it would make dialogue clearer using a digital input.
