Will Memtest run faster on a SSD compared to a CD?

Memtest takes so many hours to finish. I was wondering if it would help things any to run it off a SSD drive instead of booting off a CD. Or maybe a USB 3.0 thumb drive?

Solution
memtest doesn't run from the drive. It is loaded into a very small area of memory entirely. What you are experiencing is the time it takes to test the memory. Memtest should be loaded at boot via CD or flash stick, and run on individual sticks alone so you can determine which stick is bad... if any. So no, it would make no difference.
