will readyboost really work?

will readyboost work for me?
i have an intel i3 processor, and 2 gb ram.i am using windows 7. my computer sometimes gets a bit slow, so i thought of using readyboost from my pen drive. my pen drive has a memory of 4 gb. i booosted my computer with the pen drive. but my computer doesnt have any noticeable changes. please clarify for me. thanks.

pen drive read speed is about 22MB/s, RAM read speed is over 8000MB/s. you can't use a pen drive as a ram buffer because it's >400 times slower than actual RAM, no matter what size it is.
