Will this mic setup work?

I want to get an xlr mic but dont have an amp or anything like that. I currently have the snowball ice usb mic so the sound quality obviously must be a good bit better. Could anyone reccomend me a good amp/ think that will make an xlr mic work. Will this make it work ? An mic with an XLR connector won't necessarily sound better than your Snowball.

If you have been eyeing a quality mic that has an XLR jack, consider getting an external audio interface. Like this:
