I have a brand new gaming laptop. It's a HP star wars edition i7 etc.

Windows 10 is amazingly slow. Not just slow ...but ....hours... of...loading .........slow etc.

I updated windows and now it's really slow on boot.

So far, I haven't been able to login.

I tried to log in but it said something about regroup or group etc.

Now it's signing me out...again. very very very slow.

its not the hardware as its pretty good spec wise and when it does load, I am able to play high end games on it.

It appears to be windows 10 in general.

It takes a long time to configure widows 10 as I have found out.

It runs fine now but I what I found does work is pressing

ctrl + shift + esc

then I select "StartUp"

then I disable any unwanted applications from starting up such as one drive etc

also by eliminating the need to enter a PASSWORD generally helps start up faster

also I found that by typing in

perfmon /report (making sure there is a space between perfmon and /report)
it helps or at least I suspect it does

I also found that eliminating a lot of the bloat ware is where I saw a huge performance increase.
windows 10 for comes with over 30+ bloat ware apps that are unnecessary
KILL BILL.....NO .....KILL BLOATWARE!
