I have an HP Pavilion G6 Laptop running on Windows 8. Suddenly one evening when I turned in ON, it went into the system recovery mode loop. My keyboard has also stopped working. I have tried refreshing. It was completed successfully, but again it went to system recovery. Tried Resetting, and it shows "a required partition is missing". Tried HP System Recovery. It was also completed, but again went into system recovery loop. I am unable to try any commands in the command and prompt as the keyboard is not functioning. The keyboard works fine when tested in Component test. I have inserted a Windows 7 DVD to format my system, it also is of no use. Please help me out guys, please

It wouldn't show anything. When the system starts up, it just goes into the system recovery mode. The DVD won't boot.

Did it ask, to press any key?

I was hoping, but it didn't. I could hear the DVD drive sound and all..but when turning on, nothing, straight into System Recovery
