Windows Defender not turning on

Few days back I turned it off completely using group edit policy but now when I try to put on the real time protection slider it ask`s for permission but then nothing happens. Is my pc infected with malware ?(I have no other anti-virus installed and i am running on Win 10 pro v1703)

you have to change group policy back again to allow defender to work...

Sorry I forgot to mention but I already turned it on in group policy but still the problem exists.

yes I only tested Forza Horizon 3(pirated) but my other games are all bought coz gaming is quite expensive in my country so I need to reinstall my windows ?
