Hello everyone,

I have an Asus X550JX - X0099D | Windows 10 64Bit laptop. I am having issue since I bought it. It is DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE blue screen error. I don't know why it happens, what it causes, but happens almost all the time... Although usually happens using Adobe programs, and standart operations you can do on your PC. While doing these processes, it doesn't freeze, but gives that blue screen. Getting annoying now...

So, I've updated all the drivers except BIOS. PC is unable to update BIOS. I've tried many times with WinFlash, it reboots then I check systeminfo and its still 203, which is old. I am really confused. Could anybody help me fix this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings, Cem:
Let's take one problem at a time...

DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE denotes that a driver is defective and must be removed. The procedure is outlined in this forum thread:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1653253/fix-driver-power-state-failure-windows.html

It's no guarantee that all your problems are over. Make sure you have the Adobe Reader DC version - other versions are known to cause problems in Windows. Also check the status of your Flash Player in your browsers (Edge, Chrome or Firefox).

Which Win10 build are you running? Either stay with 10240 (the official version from July) or jump all the way to 10576 (the most recent Preview build). You may also have to re-install the graphics driver - nVidia has had all kinds of problems with Win10 over the past few months, especially with build 10565.

Once you've identified and removed the defective driver(s) mentioned above, try installing the v3.0.1 BIOS update again.

Best of luck,
GreyCatz.
