Hi all, I have recently gotten into recording audio with a dedicated microphone and amp setup for simple voice overs, commentaries, and the occasional rap battle. I went to the local Best Buy and got the following:

Microphone:
Samson SCR21S
Interface:
M-Audio - M-Track USB/MIDI Audio Interface

I am wondering if I should get a cheap condenser microphone instead of the dynamic ones. Are there any settings I have to watch out for with the setup that I have now? Is Samson a terrible brand to buy into?

Thanks for your time, and here is a photo of my previous recording setup... yes, that is a custom foam piece as a windscreen.

Hi
That mic linked to above looks to be very good value for money, however the interface you are using does not appear to have phantom power which that mic and most other condenser mics require.

Thanks for the fat replys. The interface does have phantom power. I tryed out the mic tonight (Samson R21S) and it sounds way better than the mic in the photo with the electrical tape.
