XLR vs TRS for speakers

I have 2 active speakers and their input can be XLR or TRS.
I want to connect them to my phone and my dac which both use 3.5mm
Should I get a 3.5 mm go stereo XLR or TRS

It won't make any difference to the sound but XLR connectors will lock to the speakers better. TRS easier to disconnect if you are doing it often.
