Hello,
I have a xps m1330 1 1/2 year old kids have been stepping on power cord, one day computer would not charge the battery I wiggled cord in socket finally got power but eventually stopped working off ac power. Took it to local repair shop. They ordered another ac power jack and repaired. He called to tell me my mother board needed replacing suggested I just toss the computer out or use as door stopper. Something just did not set well with me, so I got the computer home managed to get to bios and computer said warning battery critically low. Ordered new battery computer booted up fine and works on battery but in the bios next to ac power adapter says "none" does not recognize? Can anyone advise. Thought about getting an external battery charging device. My computer has not given me any problems before this and is working fine when I have a battery charged to run it.
