Yahoo messenger status spy software

hi there

I used to check may yahoo buddies' yahoo messenger status using Buddyspy, but it's been maybe 2 years or more since that software practically didn't work...whatever version I tried, it would show me as online persons which I knew for sure they were offline...or the other way round...

I want to know whether there is any other similar software to be used in this situation...a link or something would be very useful. Thanks in advance.
