Yamaha fx-v675 no audio through hdmi 2 and 3

i have my windows 8.1 Asus Vivo computer connected with my HDMI cable to HDMI 3. Picture is fine but no audio. Same thing occurred with my Apple TV but then, after playing with the settings, it began to work but not sure why. Any thoughts on how to get sound to work with the computer?

Usually if you right click the sound icon in the bottom right corner and click playback devices it will bring up the device your connected to which you then right click on and set as default device.
