Hey guys. I just built my new PC but when i tried to connect my Z-5500 into my new motherboard (MSI XPower AC) a problem occured.

Only the front speakers work. The rear, center and subwoofer are not working at all.

I downloaded the latest drivers from MSI's webpage and still the same problem. I installed all the Z-5500's cables to the motherboard according to its color. Any idea how to make them all work???

Oh and i am running Windows 8.1. I am using Realtek HD audio manage app

Sounds like the computer is configured to run in stereo. I'm not sure how to get there in Windows 8, but if you go to the Windows Sound Manager and go to playback devices click on your on-board audio and select configure. From there you can select what kind of sound setup you are running.

Hopefully that will help. I haven't done too much with surround sound through Windows.
