Can i connect Laptop HDMI (ARC) to DVD HDMI Out (ARC) for surround sound?

Analogue input from piano keyboard plugged into DVD phono in. Set to A (presumably analogue) on the amp, but getting no sound. Optical from my computer works so it's not the speakers. http://docs.pioneer.eu/Manuals/VSX_527_K_ARB7471_manual/

Can't watch dvd, cause I can't change the channels to video mode and can't operate the volume, can this be done manually or would I need to purchase another remote.

Hi... I finally got my DVD to show on the Roku TV screen... however, after pressing every button on the Controller... I can’t seem to “Play Movie”! How do I View/Play the movie?? Thx for any help ... Susan
