-9136 error pro tools

I am using Pro tools 7.4 on my laptop and am continuously getting a -9136 error. I have tried changing buffer size, CPU usage, number of processors and anything I can think but I cannot get it to go away. Any other ideas?

Thanks a lot that page was really helpful, I think it may just be a problem with the mbox though 🙁
