A Program For Downloading Files?

Hello,

I am having trouble downloading some documents from a file sharing website, the reason being because i am not a premium member and therefore the download speed is limited to an extremely painful 20kb/s.

It's a bit annoying to keep my laptop switched on throughout the entire download, so i was wondering, is there a download program which will stop a download when i switch off my computer and resume it again, by itself, from the same point where it left off when i switch back on again?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Try googling for "download manager". There should be plenty of them. The download manager built into most newer versions of web browsers already contain a suspend/resume feature.

Okay, thanks, i will give that a go, but i was under the impression that the suspend/resume features only worked in a single session and not after the computer had restarted...

Does anyone know any specific programs which will allow me to do this?
