accessing music files on an html website

i want to develop my own private website on a remote hosting website (eg. godaddy) where i can host my own music, video and picture files. i want to be able to be able to listen to my music and watch video i am going to create in html on my own on a remote hosting source like godaddy for example, how would i do that? would i be able to do that on a remote hosting source?
