Accidentally downloaded a virus

I was trying to install adobe flash and it installed some weird stuff on my computer. Namely a browser hijacker. I don't know what else it installed or if it's affecting my computer in any other ways but none of the scans I have done have been able to find this thing. Was wondering what to do. I don't particularly want to do a factory reset but I will if I have to. Is there an easier alternative?Thanks for the help.

already did that unfortunately. didn't run it in safe mode though
would that make a big difference?

What anti-virus program are you running? Also, did malwarebytes remove the offending infection?
