Acer Aspire E14 Touch - Screen turned black but still running

Hi! I just want to seek some help regarding this issue ...

My laptop suddenly turned black when I was currently watching a movie. I thought at first that its battery was already drained but then I noticed that the movie I'm watching was still playing, and when you look at it closely you can still barely see what's on the screen.

I already tried different ways I've read in the internet just to bring it back into its normal function like taking the battery out and press the power button for a couple of seconds and such, but still its no use ..

Can somebody tell me what should I do? Your favorable response is very much appreciated ... Thank you!

If you can still see your screen on it, barely, then I would think the backlight on it has gone out/died and will need replacing. If it was fully black, nothing showing at all, then it would be other issues.

If the laptop is under warranty, contact the manufacturer about a repair or replacement. If it isn't under warranty any longer, then either you or someone you take it to can do the work.

I'm using my laptop for more than two years now and its warranty was long year gone since it only have 1 year warranty from the moment I bought it, so I guess I don't have any choice but to do it myself. Anyways, thanks for your quick response regarding this matter, I really appreciate it!
