Solved! Acer Start problem

Acer laptop model no v5-561p-6823 . Windows 10 . On start no logo appears , it just shows boot device failed or missing.
Tried booting and selecting f 2 no joy. Tried swtching on off 4 times no joy, left it running for a few hours, no joy.

Do you have a bootable usb you can try? If your HDD has failed but the computer is otherwise fine, you may be able to boot into uefi/bios (and might be able to see from there that the hdd has failed); getting into the uefi/bios screen can be a little tricky. Replacing a failed HDD on this model is moderately difficult but you could put an SSD in and then you've got an upgrade.
