Solved! Advice on problem with tv and how to fix...ppppllleeeaassee

Can anyone advise what the problem could be with this VelTech LE-40GCL-A1-W tv, and how i could go about fixing this.
When plugged in TV is on standby. No picture and red light.
When standby button is pressed the tv powers up and the screen lights up, it stays like that for around 10-15 seconds then turns off and back on again and the same process happens over and over again

First guess would be bad power supply. No clue if you can get replacement boards for that brand of TV. A tech might be able to repair the board but the price might not make sense.
