I think when they mentioned "releasing the private information of dozens of police officers including home addresses, home telephone numbers and mobile phone numbers." Somehow I think this tramples on the rights of others by their expression of "justice."

What you'll find is that Anonymous is almost totally devoid of talent. Any moron can use automated tools to probe websites for known vulnerabilities. DDoSing websites is to hacking what paint by numbers is to art. Don't agree? Then you're an idiot and might want to consider actually learning a thing or two about security, rather than deciding you're already an expert.

Anonymous and their idiot supporters are far more impressed with themselves than actual experts are. It's sad, really, that the majority really are just stupid kids who either don't understand the consequences, or have such gigantic egos that they think they're invincible.

They talk big about it being "for the lulz" and all that hydra nonsense, right up until the FBI knocks on their door and escorts them to the 8x10 cell they'll be spending the next five to ten years of their life in.

Idiot. I don't know how to hack anything and even I know that smartphones embed GPS information in photos taken. I always turn that feature off as soon as I can and never turn it back on, no way I want someone tracking me down.
