Anyone knows any news on the upcoming video camcorders for 2016?

Some questions:

1) Does Sony and Panasonic change models on a yearly basis?
2) When do they usually announce this?
3) When do they actually appear in the market? (I need to buy one by March 2016)

I hope that there is a significant improvement in the Sony AX33 in terms of size/weight. For the Panasonic, I hope their stabilization becomes as good as the Sony AX33.

If Sony can put the stabilization of the AX33 to the AX100 and make it smaller/lighter then that would be PERFECT!

Prosumer devices generally have a 18-36mo release cycle rather than the yearly release cycle for low end stuff.

If anything is released though, it's usually CES or CP+ if they are released along side photo cameras, but if you hear nothing about leaks before CP+ most likely you won't find anything before march.

But i've just read somewhere that Panasonic always refreshes their models on a yearly basis. I haven't read anything for Sony though.

By the way, what model did the Sony AX33 replace?
