Apps won't move to SD Card

I have a 2015 Samsung J2 with a built in storage of only 8GB. I also have an SD Card that holds up to 8GB.

Most of the 'immovable apps' are in the Device's Storage. When I download an application that's less than 40MB (and has the option to 'Add to SD Card') it does not transfer! Even though I still have 1.8GB remaining storage in my SD Card.

Any reasons / solutions as to why?

Well, not all apps will run off a SD card. Many require they be on "Internal" storage. Which a SD card isn't.

If I remember correctly, that particular phone will not allow the SD card be altered to make it "Internal" storage and run apps from it.

You may want to try moving things like Music, Videos, Photos, etc., over to the SD card to make more room in the phones "Internal" storage. You can also clear out the history and cache of things like Facebook, your browser, etc., to free up space.
