I guess I should have answered more clearly.
NO
No, there are no free basic cable channels via satellite that you would want
to see.
There are some foreign channels and preachers and infomercials and shopping
channels and thats about it.
And if you live by Atlanta or Chicago you cannot get WTBS or WGN via
satellite for free. You could put up an outside antenna and get their
over-the-air signal if you were in their market.
Whatever you get on your tv with an outside antenna is all there is for
free.
