Hey guys, I just bought a HP Spectre x360 laptop from America but I live in the UK. On the power brick it says 110/240 V - 1.7A. The cord that It came with doesn’t fit into my socket here so I was wondering should I switch out the cord for one that fits, and plug that into the power brick or will that damage my laptop?

Solution
That is what you're supposed to do. It's why power bricks are designed with a removable cord for plugging into the wall power socket. So you can just buy a cord which fits the socket used in your country.
