Are You Going With Office 2010?

I figure with the release of Office 2010 being today (June 15), that it would be interesting to see who is going to buy it. I've been using the beta for months now and I like it a lot. There aren't too many changes between it and 2007, but things like the outlook social connector and online storage of documents and such are big selling points for me. Obviously, I'll probably buy the Pro version or Pro plus (if I can afford it).

What about everyone else?

For the now I will stick with 2007, I have no need to update as yet. I think that Office 2010 is just a glorified version of 2007. But I do love my win 7 pro, leaves the other OS's behind.

I purchased Office 2007 just before the Office 2010 release, so I got a free upgrade. I really like the new picture editing/correcting features in Word 2010.

I had bootlegs of office 2010 for a while so i was using that, but my school offers office 2010 pro x32 for free to students and x64 for 10 bucks so I picked it up.

There are lots of new features in Office 2010 that makes office works much easier but I'm using Office 2007 with VBA and It will take some time to get to use to it.

I tend to not be an early adopter (I was running Outlook Express till last month). I had stuck with Office Professional 2003 but decided to upgrade when I got a new system. Contrary to lots of negative reviews I read about the GUI and about features being moved around for apparently no reason, I've been running Home and Business 2010 in both XP on my old system and Win 7 on my new laptop and really like it. I think they really nailed it, especially in terms of how the apps I use most (Outlook, Excel, and Word) are integrated. And the upgrade from OE6 to Outlook was very smooth. I converted 10 years of email and lost 1 message out of over 35K.

he importance of proofing tools has increased in the past few years. Earlier, people outsource work or hire foreigners so as to get reading and writing work done in some foreign languages.

don't get me wrong I still use windows, but the difference between the two is much smaller than what it was.

Ha ha ... I'm still using 0ffice 2000.
I have a full copy of 2007 and like using it but 2000 is just that little bit faster and lighter on resources. It's not that my pc is slow at all ... it's core dual, with 2G of ram running on a lightened ver of XP, but I like all my software to be "light".
I don't see the "need" to move up.
