What are the cons of the latest Kindle Fire Tab compared to comparable priced tablets?

The Kindle does not have an SD card slot, which is a significant negative. The other issue is that the apps it supports are all from Amazon, and there is no built in support for the Google Play store. In my mind these are both deal breakers, but the pros include a nice display, affordable price, and built in support.
