ASUS A555L Blinking power led, fan goes crazy

Yesterday I launched my Asus A555L, as usual, logged in and after a few minutes a BSoD appeared and laptop switched off. When I tried to turn it on, this happened:

I tried to take the battery off, plug off the charger and hold power button for 20 seconds to a few minutes. Only thing I got was what you see on this short clip I recorded. I tried every possible order of things to do.

The interesting thing is that when the charger was in and I moved it a little, the orange power led was either blinking or not (as if there was any problem with power plugin). The very same thing happened when I plugged in the battery and moved it up or down.

I do not want to believe that my motherboard or HDD died because there is a lot of important data that I need to recover.

Does anybody have any idea what else I would need to do to fix my laptop?

I would be truly grateful for any advice.

The Notebook PC is running on battery mode and the battery power is less than 10%

Which would suggest to use a multi meter and test the power supply for voltage and amperage, it may provide enough power but not enough amperage. I would try running the laptop without the battery (shorted battery can cause improper booting) it is possible the adaptor on your laptop itself is flakey you did mention moving it cause a difference, could mean a cold solder situation with motherboard. I would bring it in to a repair shop they should be able to repair that if it is the case. your data if you have a desktop, could be recuperated by slipping the laptop HDD in an USB enclosure and plugin it into a desktop.
