Question ASUS A555L Issues

Hi there,

I have a 2015 Asus i5 A555l laptop. My laptop is stuck in the bios mode. When i took it for repairs, I was told that the hard driver controller is broken, and that it is not worth it to get the laptop fixed.

Is there any way around this? Can I replace the HDD with an SSD? Will that make the laptop work?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
