ASUS Battery not working

I have often tried to charge and discharge the battery in question, however, it never entered into operation, or at least makes a brief flash and then off! L 'battery icon first signals "battery", but immediately after power is turned off everything including my icona.Il adapter is the original one. Thank you for yout time.

Hi,

If I understand the issue correctly your battery is not charging properly correct? Please do try these troubleshooting steps that I suggested to others who had the same concern.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds the boot it back up and see if it will charge or not.
- If it will still not charge, test your charger if it's still functioning properly. Remove the battery off the laptop then boot it up with just the AC adapter connected.
- If it stays on that means the charger is okay, now while it's on put the battery back in and see if it will charge or not.
- Last troubleshooting step would be to uninstall/reinstall the "microsoft acpi-compliant control method battery" from Device Manager.
- If it will still not charge that means the battery is faulty already and replacing it would be the only solution.
