ASUS GL504GM Says Plugged In, Discharging at 100% plugged in

I have no idea why this is happening, is this normal? I only noticed because I was changing the power mode to best performance. I just got this laptop shipped today and really can not wait to be shipped a new one.

To clarify, when the laptop is fully charged at 100%, and I check the battery, it says “plugged in, discharging” on the right side where it would usually just say “plugged In”
