Hello all,
A week or two ago my ASUS Q302LA stopped charging. I didn't really notice it until I got a 10% battery notification immediately after I unplugged it after charging it all night. I thought it was due to my AC Adapter (it has a lot of wear and tear so it wouldn't have surprised me if it was the issue), so I tried using one of my colleague's chargers as he uses the same model of laptop as myself. It didn't work either, so I got a new battery (one of the numerous options on Amazon for my model). I got it yesterday, but it doesn't accept a charge either.
While it's plugged in, the charging LED indicator on my laptop blinks orange, and the battery flyout menu on my taskbar says "plugged in, discharging". I've already tried uninstalling the ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery driver from devmgmt, but all it does after the hardware scan refresh is recalculate the estimated recharging time. I'm quite lost as to what to try next, and would prefer not to have to take it in to be serviced. What else is there to do?
