Hi guys. I have just bought a laptop model Asus s550cb from a friend. Laptop specs are i5 3337u 1.8 ghz and a gt740m, 6 gb ddr3. The problem is when I play heavy games like Call od Duty Advanced Warfare, gpu temperature rises up to 90 degrees. Is that ok for a ultrabook? The game runs fluently in extra setting 30+ fps but the temp I think is a bit too high.

Should I take the laptop to service and clean the dust from it and replace the thermal paste?

Thank you.

Hi,

First thing you might want to consider doing first before taking it in for a service is installing the latest graphics card driver. Make sure to uninstall first the driver from Device Manager and in Programs and Feature of your graphics card then install the latest driver from NVIDIA support site. Here's the link: http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx. Be sure to reboot your PC once done and observe it for couple of days. If the same problem persist do have it service for clean up and thermal paste reapplication.
