My Asus UX305F Zen notebook has completely lost its network adapter...one day it was there...next day it is done...I have downloaded a wireless driver from the Asus website(onto a flash drive) and re-installed. Nothing.

Where did the network adapter go?

Is it broken? Is it lost?

I had also unchecked the box that says, "Turn off network adapter when power is low."

Please help.

Solution
I'm guessing either a virus or a failed network card is the cause. The cards are usually modular (meaning you can replace them), but on some systems the card is surface mounted to the circuit board.

We have tried to go through BIOS menu and there are no setting there.

There is an option for network stacking that we thought might be related to the network adapter but once we enabled...nothing changed.

We have double-checked the physical on/off switch and the hot key options. No success.

Is there any other things we should check?
