ASUS X550DP cant disable its touchpad??

hello, greetings from new comers.. i've bought asus x550dp laptop about a month ago, and i have a problem with the touchpad, when im trying to disable it by pressing fn+f9 it wont work, anyone know what happen? or any suggestion? because the track pad was large and makes me do a lot of typo when im typing.. thank you and waiting for reply here

Are you using a mouse and just want to disable the touchpad semi-permanently or do you need to be able to switch back and forth between enabled and disabled?

well, i saw an icon disable touch pad on my keyboard, usually other laptop did it fine just hit fn+f9, i just want to disable it temporarily while im using mouse, and typing.. just that, but it wont respond anything from fn+f9 but the other shortcut works, like increasing volume or dimming the light.. did u know why? the driver is correctly installed

If you have Windows 7 installed it is not supported by ASUS on this laptop model and you should install Windows 8 or 8.1 for full driver support.


Download and reinstall the following drivers if you have windows 8.1

Asus touchpad Smart Gesture touchpad driver:

Asus keyboard device filter driver:

Asus hotkey utility:
