Asus x550j lag on csgo

Hey heres the deal my laptop has dropped a lot of frames on csgo and other games
I had decent fps before 100-150 and now 70 and drops down to thirty in certain situations
i5-4200h @2.8 ghz can use turbo boost. gtx850m 1tb hardrive 8gb ram
im using a external monitor. I have a cooling pad i have not cleaned for dust so maybe thats the problem?

Make sure the settings didn't screw up and start prioritizing the Intel HD 4600 graphics over the dedicated Nvidia. Installing new drivers can do that.
