Hey guys,

So planning on purchasing a new laptop, specifically the Asus Zenbook UX501JW which comes with i7, 8GB ram, 1tb HDD and 960M.

I want to know if a 960M will be okay for light to medium gaming on PC only titles like ms flight sim and euro truck simulator.

Also, this model comes with a 1tb HDD which i want to keep inside but want to know if this model has an m.2 slot as i want to put a Samsung 950 pro ssd inside as the boot drive. I know the UX501VW has an optional m.2 drive included but does the UX501JW still have the m.2 slot which i can drop the ssd into?

Also, i'm open to other suggestions of laptops of similar spec and price as i want a slim laptop which has dedicated graphics and an i7.

Anyone know if a new zenbook pro is imminent?

Cheers.

If you scroll to the bottom, you can find normal benchmarks and game benchmarks so you can find which games you'll play and check their fps at different settings with the card.
And this one has more thorough review of the card that also has game benchmarks.

So your 960M will most likely play light to medium games pretty well. If the setting is on low, for sure, and if it is on medium about 60fps depending on the game.

I don't know if there's another m.2 slot but if there is, that would be great. I would do the exact same thing.
