"AT&T customers have access to more than 100,000 applications, more than with any other wireless company. "

Only because of iPhone.

I have an iphone now and I have been using smartphones for the last 4 years. I am just tired of the laggy buggy phones. The 3GS is smooth as silk and the apps work great and are easy to access and are free half of the time. It's not the greatest you cant multi task and I would like easier system access to the phone all of which I think can be achieved if I jail break it and texting on the iphone is great it's so intuitive and fast. This was my major concern because I have been using sliding keyboards for so long. I txt twice as fast with the iphone. The list goes on.

At first I was wondering why they didn't just make a counter commercial...and then it occured to me that it'd probably be cheaper (and more profitable), if they just hired a lawyer to sue the pants off Verizon.

On another note, I had AT&T for about a year back in 2001, and wasn't too pleased with the service. I was getting tired of dropping calls in the most stupidist of places (I just passed your phone tower, why is my call being dropped?). I've had Verizon for about 8 years now and have had fewer dropped calls than I did with AT&T. None of their points hold any water, if they interupt your service for a subscriber with a higher monthly bill.

As an at&t employee and wireless device user, I have never experienced all of the issues to the extent that people have posted here, time and again. I suppose it is human nature to complain more often than complement, so that is understandable. I have lived in large cities and more rural areas and have never had calls dropping all the time. My newest BlackBerry isn't even 3G and my speed is fine, even in areas with lower signal strength. As for simulatneous voice and data, it's no so much for somebody surfing and driving and talking, you could be on a laptop with 3g and need to talk with someone. You could be a passenger in a car talking with someone while using GPS to clarify directions, etc. That's all for now. To each his own. In the end, hopefully the competition will benefit those who matter most -- we, the consumers.

I was expecting pretty much something like this:
#1 We have the Iphone
#2 We have the Iphone
#3 We have the Iphone
#4 We have the Iphone

I so technically I was 75% right... AT&T you manopolized the market for decades, don't cry now because you're embarased and have bad coverage.

Ok, AT&T has been the best service overall compared to all others. When we have Verizon phones and they suck! The reception is horrible, and the customer service people are extremely rude! All of my friends and family have AT&T. They may not have "3G coverage" everywhere but their customer service is the best, and the reception is clear everywhere. It's overall a much better phone company.

I've had/have verizon for 5 years, sprint for 4 years(ending in 2007) and at&t for 2 years then canceled... enough said.

i live in the midwest and i great service from at&t. My friend has verison had she has no srevice when she goes out of her home state. i never get a dropped call and u have 2 be in the middle of no where 2 not get service.

at&t sucks!!! very stupid, idiot, fuck, and moxie!!!

!@#$%^&*()_+

i think all of you on both sides are a bunch of idiots. I've had both networks and the same problems exist with both depending on where you are at the time. Both drop calls occasionally, both have coverage problems in some areas, both have some customer service problems depending on the customer service you get, some are good some are not. I travel all over the country and for my dollar I use AT&T. I've been with AT&T for 17 years, except for a 2 year contract 4 years ago when I switched because of all the bragging Verizon was doing, but after 1 year I paid to get out of the contract and go back to AT&T because it worked better for me. It may not work for you. As far as the iPhone goes it's the best phone, PDA, all in one device I've ever used. Some people like Chevy's, some like Ford's, and some like something else. I think you people just like to piss and moan. Get a life, and let someone with some sense write reviews. Better yet move to Antarctica.

I have been with AT&T for over 3 years and I have never dropped a call. Also, I always have bars. I have a really amazing phone that I LOVE from AT&T and it does have thousands of apps. (Its NOT the iPhone, its the LG Quantum)
