Audio is not cooperatively communicating with Roku streaming stick, but loves communicating with the Panasonic tv.

Directions needed to connect roku streaming stick from panasonic HD plasma tv (2007) to panasonic SA-AK22 cd stereo system. The tv does have a HDMI port and USB.

What you want to do, actually?
Roku Stick is output-only device, to be connected over HDMI to TV / Monitor / Receiver, and nothing else. If you want "magically" to transfer audio from TV to your stereo, Roku is NOT the product to do that.

Roku connects to TV (usually HDMI).
Audio output from the TV connects to your Panasonic aux input.
You would need a digital to analog converter if you TV doesn't have analog audio or headphone outputs.
