over the past couple days, my audio would not work except when i plug in my logitech g930's. my monitor is an asus vg248qe which comes with built in speakers but when i look in Sound, it shows speakers as disabled and Realtek Digital Output enabled but i cant hear anything from it? the monitor itself came with an audio cord which i plugged in the back of my pc into my monitor (keep in mind this shouldnt even be necessary as it has built in speakers), the sound works but i can hear an excessive faint buzzing noise in the background. what could be the issue?

thanks in advance!

What port on the PC are you using? Make sure it's in the right one, there are often 3 or more on the back and two in the front, many are inputs or outputs for the wrong thing. You'll want to use the headphone out.
