Best MacBook Pro13" 2016 model for software developer

Hi All, I'm planing on buying a new MacBook Pro 13" with touch bar. This is my first MacBook.
I went through the specs. I'm tight on budget. I can't go to max out the MBP. So I thought of selecting the 256ssd base model and upgrading the ram and processor. I need to get the max for me. I'm a Software developer and doing my MSc. I will need to code as well as academic works and of course some movies. Not gaming. So, should I go for max out the processor to i7 3.3GHz and get the 8 FB ram or go for 16gb ram and i5 3.1GHz processor? Ram or processing power ? Which is more value for my usage?

I would go with the more powerful cpu as rendering times will be slower on the i5. Is there a reason why you are restricted to macs only?

Thank you. Nothing restricting me to Mac. But I like to have hands on experience in Mac. That's it.

Not sure what your budget is, but I would avoid the 13" models. I'd rather have the base 15" than any 13" model. Dual core CPU is just too weak for any serious work.
